Pickup Truck Championship Introduce New Engine

A new engine has been unveiled to the Pickup Truck teams, a Ford Ranger 2.3 Duratec petrol engine. Now offering drivers the choice between the Vauxhall GM engine, or the Ford Ranger engine.
The new engine is on an injection, compared with the old fashioned carburetors. It has been designed to reduce the accelerating costs and offer new and existing drivers and teams a cost effective alternative when joining and competing in the Championship. The engine has limited modifications but are still producing the same horse power and torque, but with added reliability. All engines will be constructed with the same components i.e cam's, rod's and pistons, this is making the racing down to the driver and not how much is in his wallet!
Viking Vauxhall and Rover Spares and Repairs, will be sponsoring the #22 Truck, belonging to Nic Grindrod.
Anyone who is considering joining the Pickup Truck Racing Championship, please do not hesitate to contact Nic or Karl on 0121 459 6866 or Sonny Howard on 01353 861168, who will answer any questions you have, and tell you just how inexpensive it is to race on a budget compared to other formulas and still be successful within the championship!
